Key Virginia Dates

• August 1, 2026: Deadline to submit Evidence of Academic Progress (Evaluation or Testing) for all homeschooled children ages 6 and above.

• August 15, 2026: Deadline to submit your Notice of Intent (NOI) and description of curriculum for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

• Note: if a child is 5 years old by September 30th, the parent must officially File the Notice of Intent (NOI) to register as a homeschooler. You may also “opt-out” by written letter to school board.
